Welcome to Baz Island!

Adina Baseler is the manager of Baz Island, a creative and exploratory realm in Jordan Small Middle School. She believes a teacher’s role is to coach, and she is currently coaching grade six students in the humanities: social studies and English Language Arts.  

Adina received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Saint Joseph’s College, and she has been teaching for… a long time. She has taught every grade level from six to twelve, and she has taught courses in English, social studies, and science.

But her specialty is writing.

A writer herself, Adina enjoys passing on her love of the craft to her students. She believes a teacher should live what she or he teaches, so Adina is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
